With a wide and varied background of working with clients of all ages, I am an experienced Counsellor who appreciates the importance of an adaptable approach to best help a client's very individual circumstances.
I am an Integrative counsellor, which means I can offer a combined approach to psychotherapy introducing a variety of different tools and techniques which ensures that your treatment is tailor made to your requirements. As an Integrative therapist, I take the view that there is no single approach that can treat each client in all situations. I will introduce the approaches that I bring under the section 'What to expect'

My experience is varied and alongside my own practice, I have worked extensively as a counsellor within several community facilities and for the last 3 years, have worked within an Education Support Centre, supporting parents and children of all ages who for one reason or another, are not able to attend mainstream education. I currently work in several schools and have experience in supporting children with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder as well as children with mild to moderate learning difficulties.
I have previously worked on a voluntary basis providing non-counselling support on cancer wards at Mount Vernon Hospital and The Peace Hospice in Watford.
I have delivered anxiety workshops to young people
I appreciate that therapy is constantly evolving with ongoing research and because of this, I regularly attend training in the form of courses and seminars in order to keep my professional development up to date with the latest findings.
I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and Professional Indemnity Insurance
My private practice specialises in providing support to adults, young people and trainee counsellors
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and my work is guided by its ethical framework for good practice.
